Eden is West (2009)
Traveling aboard a boat overfilled with illegal immigrants, young Elias has his heart set on reaching Europe. As the boat approaches Greece they are apprehended by a marine patrol. Elias jumps into the sea in order to avoid arrest and wakes up next morning, half clothed, on what appears to be a nudist beach… part of a resort called ‘Eden Club-Paradise’. Desperate to avoid detection he takes off his remaining clothes and passes himself off as a guest. After stealing an employees uniform he switches identity and adopts the role of employee. During his time undercover Elias meets a magician doing tricks for the guest, who tells him “if you find yourself in Paris, come and find me”. He is enthralled by the magician and is soon gripped by the fantasy of Paris. Setting out from the resort Elias begins an epic quest across Europe to find the city of his dreams.
