The Gulers have a dream: their son Jan should become the world’s top tennis player. While his schoolmates are lining up an apprenticeship or attending grammar school, Jan enters the world of professional tennis. A challenge for the entire family! The film accompanied the Guler family for five years, obtaining insight into this exciting journey towards their much-wanted success. This intimate portrayal reveals how they dealt with the athletic, familial and social demands of a professional sports career, and how Jan went from being a teenager to a young man.
