All That You Possess (Tout ce que Tu Possèdes) (2012)
Pierre Leduc is a man whose expectations have hit rock bottom. In is late 30s he teaches Eastern European literature in a Quebec University. He is roused by a call for help from his father, suffering from a terminal cancer. He wants to leave Pierre his fortune, amassed dishonestly in real estate. Pierre refuses the money, because he doesn’t want any part of the ill-gotten gains. Soon after, a teenager knocks on Pierre’s door: it is his daughter, Adèle, whose mother he had abandoned before the girl was born. Pierre denies being her father, but Adèle eventually convinces him. Soon, the reunion with his daughter revives Pierre’s will to live. But the past will come back to haunt him.
